Role: Software Developers VB.NET / SQL Server
Location: Dublin
Duration: Fixed Term Contracts for 2 years ( would look exceptional on your cv )
My client is a highly prestigious Financial Institution based in Dublin 2. They have a current team of 35 developers and need to hire 10 VB.NET developers by April 30th. You will be working with their Systems Analysts understanding the business / technical specifications, then developing new VB.NET applications. You will take responsibility with your work have strong communicational skills to be able to interact within the team and perhaps go back to the Analysts and query or suggest an alternative or new idea on a project.
Skill-set
2-3 years VB.NET of a minimum
Good SQL Server - understand the business layers / different Tiers of the application ( understand that the reason you are using your SQL Server is to deliver a task for a business objective )
Strong documentation of your code
N-Tier or OO / Object Orientated or design experience
Structured working environment
Want to work in a team environment. Working toward team and common business goals.
The following are advantageous but NOT essential:-
XML
XML Schema ( their information is passed in XML files / configured and build in XML files)
Sharepoint - development or admin or implementation
ASPX or ASP
