My Client is a leading FTSE 100 company based in London. They are currently looking for an Online Development manager with a technical background to work in their expanding online division.
With a previous hands-on development background, the ideal candidate will display at least 4 years experience managing development teams with proven technical knowledge and understanding of development and development methodologies (Agile/Scrum) through the full development life cycle.
You will be given responsibility of development teams of up to 30 people requiring both direct and indirect management. Having a technical background you should be able to communicate technical requirements to business users while working inline with the strategic business objective and delivering development projects within budget and to strict deadlines.
You will be involved in delivering a wide variety of projects from mobile applications to web based and intranet applications working through the full development life cycle. While reporting to the head of online you will be given other responsibilities such as managing media, advertising and internal recruitment.
Some of the key skills needed to be successful in this role are as follows:
- A proven hands-on development background using some of the following technologies - Java, J2EE, XML, AJAX, Apache, Web Services, JMS, JAX-WS, .NET, C#, C++, Objective C, Cocoa
- Knowledge or experience working with Oracle/MySQL
- A strong understanding of business and technical requirements
- Development Principles
- Strong communication and management skills
Previous Hands-on development experience working with Java technologies would be preferred but is not mandatory.
