Senior Software Engineer (Web Proxy). Wireless Optimization Products.

Area: Bay Area

Position/Responsibilities:
The successful Senior Web Proxy Engineer will have responsibility for the development of key components of our optimization server software. This individual will join a talented team of engineers with several years of history delivering high quality, scalable, internet-based server software in a fast-paced dynamic business environment. This position requires a dedication to designing and building world-class software as well as real dedication for fixing that elusive bug. We are looking for a smart individual who likes to solve challenging problems.

 Design and implement our advanced networking features.
 Communicate effectively with piers to highlight and clarify software design requirements
 Compose design and feature documents
 Manage to and deliver against a schedule determined jointly with your manager.
 Learn and help maintain existing software components.
 Develop unit and component tests for any developed software.

Requirements / Qualifications:
Required
 B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
 3+ year’s development experience with client/server software (sockets)
 Knowledgeable of professional software practices.
 Working experience with common IP-based application protocols, e.g. HTTP, FTP, SMTP, POP3, etc.
 Very strong C/C++ programming skills.
 Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge.
 Good written and verbal communication skills.
 Ability to write design documentation.
 Development experience on Linux and/or Solaris.
 Strong team player and independent contributor.

Highly Desired

 Master Degree in Engineering/Computer Science.
 Prior experience working with web proxies (Squid)
 TCP over wireless networks
