Development Manager Java - West London - Permanent

Development Manager is urgently required by market leading FTSE 100 energy company based in West London.

FTSE 100 energy company charged with handling large volumes of customer data is looking for an experienced Development manager to lead a dynamic team aimed with creating an unmatched customer experience. The Role

As a Development Manager you will lead a customer experience team within the Application Design and Delivery department. You will be responsible for all customers' digital contact with the company. You will be focused on developing, maintaining and re-inventing the flagship website. In addition you will lead the way in developing novel solutions to the new and ever growing contact mediums, such as iPhone and Mobile Apps.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable delivering in an agile environment and be confident leading a team. Versatility is important as this role is a based within a continually adapting environment.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in Web Development Systems and Design role within a medium to large company
• Proven track record in application systems development, analysis and a good understanding of a range of technical architectures
• Java, J2EE technologies (JSP, Servlets and JDBC), Spring, Eclipse, JavaScript, XHMTL, CSS, Weblogic 9.2 and Oracle 10g, UML, OO, Unix
• Proven experience in the development of large scale systems based on J2EE and associated Web technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and ability to communicate at all levels

Advantageous skills:

• Knowledge of SMS and E-mail would be a real plus
• A strong passion for the web and a good background in a related role
• Knowledge of iPhone and android technologies (Cocoa, objective-c and xcode)
• Experience working with third parties and off-shoring activities
